Helm Enterprises is a construction company based in the Hampton Roads area, dedicated to building homes that balance affordability with exceptional craftsmanship. Our mission is simple: construct high-quality homes using durable materials that stand the test of time—homes built for decades of living.

Founded by Tad Helm, the company was shaped by a lifelong passion for building. Tad began working alongside his father at a young age, learning the trade from the ground up. By 27, he was framing homes and running his own crew. With that hands-on foundation and entrepreneurial drive, he became a general contractor and established Helm Enterprises.

With over 20 years of experience, Helm Enterprises now builds homes throughout Hampton Roads and Cape Charles, VA. We are committed to serving our community by creating houses that become homes—spaces where families gather, memories are made, and lasting comfort and security are felt for generations.
